I am currently pursuing a degree in Financial Engineering at ITESO (Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Occidente). The curriculum of this program is robust, encompassing a wide range of subjects including mathematics, statistics, programming, data science, and artificial intelligence.
Throughout my studies, I have been exposed to a rigorous academic environment that has nurtured my skills and knowledge in these areas. The emphasis on mathematics, statistics, and programming has provided me with a solid foundation to tackle complex financial problems and develop innovative solutions.
The program's focus on data science and artificial intelligence has allowed me to explore cutting-edge techniques and tools for analyzing financial data and developing predictive models. I have gained proficiency in utilizing programming languages such as Python and R for data manipulation, statistical analysis, and machine learning algorithms.
Despite being only six months into my degree, I have made significant progress and have already completed 87% of the program's requirements. My dedication and commitment to my studies have been consistently recognized, and I have been honored as a standout student.
I am eager to continue my education and further expand my knowledge in the field of financial engineering. The comprehensive curriculum at ITESO has equipped me with a strong theoretical foundation and practical skills that will enable me to excel in the finance industry.
I have gained valuable experience working for almost a year at Venteks, a small software company that embarked on a project to enter the forex market. During my time at Venteks, I have had the opportunity to put my analytical and learning skills to the test in various ways.
One aspect of my role involved utilizing Python for risk analysis and management. I successfully applied my knowledge of Python to develop tools and algorithms that aided in assessing and mitigating risks associated with forex trading.
In addition, I had the chance to work with R for statistical analysis. Through this experience, I strengthened my understanding of statistical methodologies and their application in the field of forex trading.
To analyze and present data effectively, I utilized Power BI. I developed comprehensive reports and dashboards, allowing for clear visualization and interpretation of trading results.
Furthermore, I honed my programming skills by working with MQL4 (C++) and cTrader (C#) to develop trading bots, scripts, and indicators. These automated solutions enhanced the efficiency and precision of trading strategies.
As part of my role, I also developed tools for control and monitoring using RESTful APIs. This involved integrating various systems and implementing robust solutions to streamline trading operations.
Lastly, I gained experience in database management by utilizing SQL for data collection and analysis. I proficiently organized and retrieved data, contributing to informed decision-making processes.
Working at Venteks has provided me with a dynamic and challenging environment to apply my skills in forex trading analysis and software development. I have developed a diverse range of competencies and continually sought opportunities to enhance my knowledge and capabilities.
